Sati Pasala Mindfulness Program for Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), Kosgama

The latest in Military Strategy is Mindfulness. Therefore, a special Sati Pasala mindfulness program for Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), Kosgama which is the principal and volunteer reserve force component of the Sri Lanka Army, was held on 19th June 2019.  It ran from 8.30am-11.30am. The program was conducted by Ven. Kurunegala Sobhitha Thero. Being in the present moment was introduced through Mindful sitting, Mindful walking, Mindful eating and Mindful games.

There were about 235 participants in the program.  By practicing mindfulness they can received a great deal of positive media attention extolling its salutary mental health benefits. This is one of the best practice for army forces, because they are doing a very serious job than others. They cannot do unnecessary things when they are in the job. If they do not focus well, even they have to pay that cost by donating their live. They appreciated the sati Pasala and they need to arrange the programs Island wide.
