Mindfulness in the Sri Lanka Parliament

Mindfulness was introduced to the staff of the Sri Lanka Parliament for the first time on 30th January 2018. More than 400 participants attended two mindfulness induction sessions. The latter consisted of sharing a basic understanding on mindfulness, instructions on mindful sitting and mindful walking, calming and composing the mind using the magic-mind-jar, instructions on mindful eating, and how to listen to the sound of silence using the singing bowl. A lively discussion ensued.

The Programs started with Welcome comments from the Hon Speaker Mr. Karu Jayasuriya.
