Mindfulness for Viyath Maga

Mindfulness program was conducted for the members of Viyath Maga by Most Venerable Udairiyagama Dhammajeewa thero on the 19th of August 2018. 

The participants were introduced to Mindfulness and its importance for the development of this country. participated in mindful sitting and walking sessions. 

Mindful walking session
Mindful walking, is an active practice that requires you to be consciously aware and moving in the environment rather than sitting down with your eyes closed. The practice brings you closer to nature and your body.

The “Mind in a Jar” is a popular lesson for teaching mindfulness to children and adults alike. It is a fun way to teach how to calm down when they’re upset or overwhelmed.
