Sati Pasala or How to Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness Programme at BD/SIR Razik Fareed Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawela

Sati Pasala programme was held at Bd/Sir Razik Fareed Maha Vidyalaya, Bandarawela on 15th March 2019 from 9.00am to 11.00am. Over 150 teachers and students participated. The programme was conducted by Ven. Kurunegala Sobhitha Thero. Whether all these students are Muslim students, they eagerly and enthusiastically participated in the programme. Being in the present moment was introduced through Mindful Sitting, Mindful Walking, Mindful Games and Mindful Eating. The religion of people does not affect to the Mindfulness as mindfulness is an essential and necessary component for everyone. Anyone can develop it. The students shared their experiences with others at the end of the programme. According to the comments of them, they need to improve their Sathiya as they have identified the thousands of benefits of mindfulness. When they are always engaging with a competitive education system, mindfulness is very important for a successful education.
