Sati Pasala or How to Practice Mindfulness

Sati Pasala at Dambana Indigenous People Village (දඹාන ආදිවාසී ගම්මානය)

Sati Pasala programme was conducted at the indigenous people village in Dambana on 19th of February 2019. About 200 children from the indigenous families and about 60 parents participated in the programme which was conducted by most Ven. Rajasinghegama Thilakadhamma Thero. About 20 volunteers from the Sati Pasala foundation traveled to Damabana to make this historic event a success. The chief of the Dambana indigenous people village, Uruwarige Wannila Aththo graced the occasion and supported the Mindful Facilitators to make the programme a success.
Key Mindful activities such as Mindful Sitting, Mindful Walking, Mindful Eating, Mindful Listening and some Mindful Games were conducted in order to give the message of mindfulness. The chief of the Dambana indigenous people village, Uruwarige Wannila Aththo and other elders who attended the programme was impressed with the efforts made by the facilitators. Uruwarige Wannila Aththo invited Sati Pasala facilitators to witness traditional dances, poems and their way of living as well.
