Sati Pasala or How to Practice Mindfulness

Sati Pasala Programme at Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya – 5th February 2019

Sati Pasala programme was held at Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya on 5th February 2019 for students and teachers. There are more than 250 school students and teachers participated in this programme.
Ven. Kurunegala Sobhitha Thero conducted the programme and it was one of the successful programmes. Nowadays students are spending a busy schedule in their studies. Mindfulness practices can help us to increase their ability to regulate emotions, decrease stress, anxiety and depression. It can also help them to focus their attention, as well as to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Being in the present moment was introduced through Mindful sitting, mindful walking and Mindful eating.
