Sati Pasala Programme at National Eye Hospital of Sri Lanka

Sati Pasala programme was held at National Eye Hospital on 20th March 2019 from 9.00am to 11.00am. Over 150 patients and the staff of the hospital participated in this programme which was conducted by Ven. Kurunegala Sobhitha Thero.

Whether the all these patients are in several kinds of pains, they eagerly and enthusiastically participated. Being in the present moment was introduced through Mindful Sitting, Mindful walking and Mindful Eating. Ven. Thero advised them to looked at their pains and being in the present moment. The participants are from various religions. But it is not a barrier to practice the mindfulness as mindfulness is an essential and necessary component for everyone. Mindfulness is also helpful them to maintain a good health. The participants shared their experiences with others at the end of the programme.
