Sati Pasala or How to Practice Mindfulness

Sati Pasala Programme at Imbulpe Shariputhra Maha Vidyalaya – 21st February 2019

Sati Pasala programme was held at Imbulpe Shariputhra Maha Vidyalaya on 21st February 2019 for students and teachers along the day. There were three sessions for three groups of students and another session for teachers and prefects to establish Sati Sangamaya. The teachers and students were very committed to Sati Pasala. There are more than 650 students and teachers participated in these programmes. The first session was from 8.00 am to 10.30am for grade 12, 11, 10, 9 and 8 students, Second session was from 10.30am to 11.30 am for grade 3,4 and 5 students, third session was from 12.00pm to 1.30pm for grade 6 and grade 7 students and the last session was from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm.
Directed the students to implement several mindful activities such as mindful walking, mindful sitting, mindful eating, mindful listening and mindful games as well. The school teachers and prefects have given their maximum contribution to us to organize those programs. The program was conducted by Ven. Kurunegala Sobitha Thero and the entire school children and teachers were covered in a very productive and efficient way. They ask another program for their school.
They share their experiences with others at the end of the programme. After the end of the programme, there was another discussion about how to control our feelings and emotions and Sati Sangamaya was established in that school.
