Sati Pasala programme was organized to pregnant mothers at Pamunuwa Base Hospital on 23rd of January 2019. About 35 pregnant mothers along with their husbands attended the programme which was conducted by most Ven. Sati Pasala introduction programme was held at the Kandy General Hospital on 20th of January 2019. The Program was organized in lieu of the Poya day and was conducted by most Ven. Rajasinghegama Thilakadhamma Thero. A basic introduction to Mindfulness was given to the nursing staff of Kandy General Hospital and several mindful activities like Mindful Listening, Body Scanning and Mindful Sitting were practiced.

Sati Pasala Programme at Homagama Base Hospital

Sati Pasala Programme at Homagama Base Hospital – 4th January 2019

Senhora Synergies Tea Company has organized another Sati Pasala programme at Homagama Base Hospital on 4th January 2019 for pregnant mothers. The programme is run from 9.30am to 11.30am. Pregnant mothers are a special group of people who especially need mindfulness for both mother and baby health.
The program was conducted by Ven. Kurunegala Sobhitha Thero under the direct guidance of the Managing Director- Mr. Ranjana Gamini Walpola.
Being in the present moment was introduced through Mindful sitting, Mindful walking and Mindful eating. The mothers were very enthusiastic to learn Sathiya as well as all the activities were done by them in an active manner. Because mindfulness is vital for their mind relaxation and health of both mother and the baby.
This experience surely helps them to motivate to continue Sathiya for their lives. Director Heath of Homagama Hospital requested to continue this programme in the hospital for all the patients. Because mindfulness is one of the most important key area to maintain good health.

Sati Pasala programme was conducted at the Department of Social Welfare, Probation and Child Care Service Affairs office in Kandy on the 16th of November 2018.
The Programme was organized by Dr. Haris Mohammed at the Katugastota hospital and was conducted by most Ven. Rajasinghegama Thilakadhamma Thero. About 40 members from the staff of the Department of Social Welfare, Probation and Child Care Service Affairs attended the programme.

Sati Pasala Program at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital

An introductory session on Mindfulness Practice was conducted at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital Borella on 28th April which was attended by a cross-section of hospital staff. The programme comprised of mindful walking and sitting together with selected mindful games and a special session on mindful eating. Children from the preschool of LRH also attended the programme and they were guided by the Sati Pasala Facilitrors.
