This program was held on Friday 10th November 2017 at Asgiriya Mahavihara Maha Pirivena from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Participants were about 260 monks. The Parivenaadipathi Most Ven. Narampanave Ananda Thero & the Deputy Parivenaadipathi of the Asgiripirivena was very supported to make the activities and provided all facilities for the events. The whole programme was conducted by Most Ven. Udaeriyagama Dhammajeewa maha thero.

The Sati Pasala Foundation organised the first program on mindfulness for the Health Sector recently at the SLFI. From January 2018 on every Saturday afternoon there will mindfulness training programs conducted by Mindfulness Facilitators as a continuous activity at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute in Colombo.

Today, December 8th, a delegation from the Sati Pasala Foundation met the Hon Speaker Mr. Karu Jayasuriya in the Speakers Chambers and introduced Sati Pasala. The Speakers response to introducing mindfulness to the Parliamentarians and the Staff of the Parliament was very encouraging. The discussion revolved round how mindfulness has been integrated into the British Parliament (Mindful Nation UK) and how in the USA it is being advocated by prominent Congressmen, as well as in Canada and in certain states in Australia.

The Sati Pasala Foundation is arranging mindfulness induction and training, for professionals in the health sector. These programs will be specially designed to introduce mindfulness to doctors, nurses, ward sisters, matrons, physiotherapists and other allied health personnel. Through these programs they could learn mindfulness themselves and thereafter share it with patients and colleagues. Eventually they can become Mindfulness Ambassadors.

On the 25th of November Bhikshuni Ashramaya, Galgamuwa, Veyangoda saw Sati Pasala reaching out to approximately 50 pregnant women. A two hour session on mindfulness was conducted by Most Ven. Dhammajiva Maha Thero. This was the first time a focused session of this nature was conducted for such a group.

On the 2nd December a group of persons from all faiths were instructed on mindful sitting and mindful walking meditation, at the Independence Square. They were guided by Venerable Dhammajiva, the Founder of Sati Pasala.
