On Friday 4th February 2022, the Sati Pasala Wayamba Team in collaboration with the Kelimune Sati Pasala launched a tree planting ceremony and mindfulness practice day to commemorate the 70th birthday of the Sati Pasala Founder and Chief Incumbent of the Nissarana Vanaya Forest Monastery, Most Venerable UdaEriyagama Dhammajiva Thero, and the opening of the Wayamba Sati Pasala Centre situated in Wariyapola adjacent to the Nathagane Forest Reserve.

Sati Pasala Program at Panvila Rajasinghe Central College

Sati Pasala program was conducted at Panvila Rajasinghe Central College on the 24th of January 2022. 200 students representing Grade 10, 11, 12, and 13 took part in the program. Mindful Facilitators conducted Mindful Sitting, Mindful Walking, Mindful Listening, Mindful Eating, and several Mindful Games to give the message of Mindfulness to the participants. The Principal requested another program in the next month for students and also a special program for the staff as well.

Sati Pasala Program for Hepana Primary School, Hepana

Sati Pasala program was conducted for grades 7,8 and 9 students of the Hepana primary school, Hepana at the Haladiwela Siri Niketharamaya on the 25th of January 2022. About 25 students and two staff members took part in the program which was conducted by Ven. Rajasinghegama Thilakadhamma thero. Mindful Listening, Mindful Walking, Mindful Sitting, Mindful Eating, and several Mindful games were conducted for the participants by Mindful facilitators. The school wishes to continue this program and next a teacher training program is planned.
