Sati Pasala Program at Penideniya National College of Education

Sati Pasala program was held at the Penideniya National College of Education on the 4th of November 2019. The program was attended by about 200 first-year students and took part in the activities very enthusiastically. A separate program was also conducted in the Tamil language by the mindful facilitator Mr. Isfan Haneefa for the Tamil medium students as well.
Mindful facilitators conducted Mindful Listening, Mindful Walking, Mindful Sitting, and Mindful Eating exercises along with several mindful games to give the message of mindfulness for the training teachers at the Penideniya National College of Education.

About 30 staff members took part in the program which was conducted by the Kandy mindful facilitators. Another remarkable day of the Sati Pasala journey was marked on the 10th of November 2019 at Peradeniya Central College, Kandy. In a historic move, the management of the Peradeniya Central College unveiled a walking path within the school premises!
This is the first time that a government school has taken such bold stride towards mindfulness, and now the newly constructed walking path will further benefit the student and the staff of the Peradeniya Central College.

Sati Pasala program was organized by The All Ceylon Union of Teachers (ACUT) for the primary teachers in Kandy. The program was held at the Trinity College Primary Hall and was attended by about 40 primary teachers and secondary teachers from schools around Kandy. Sati Pasala Mindfulness Programme for Working Anglican Fathers and Sisters

A special Sati Pasala programme was conducted to working Anglican Fathers and Sisters of Kandy and Matale districts on 23rd of July 2019. Sati Pasala facilitators were invited by the parish priest of the St. Johns church Reverend Father Nishantha Fernando. The programme was held at the St. Johns Church in Gatambe and attended by 15 participants. Key mindful activities such as Mindful Walking, Mindful Sitting, Mindful Listening and Mindful Eating was conducted to give the participants a first-hand experience on Mindfulness. A special interest was shown by the participants on Mindful Walking exercise and its benefits.
